Why get an Air Conditioner? In the UK it’s the time of the year when it starts heating up, especially in the south.
I’m one of those people that just loves the weather in the Spring (except for my hayfever for which I have an air purifier) and the Autumn, but find it very difficult to bear it when it gets hot and humid. The weather at the moment, about 22C is ideal for me. In the summer, especially in the London area it not only gets very hot and humid, but the pollution just adds to the discomfort.

This is when you really appreciate an air conditioned office or a portable air conditioner at home.
I have a the humble fan at the moment but have promised myself that as soon as I can afford it I’m going to get us an air conditioner.
Air conditioners range from about £150 at the cheapest for the Homebase 9000 BTU portable air conditioner to £1,309 for a wall Air Con split unit by EcoAir, which can be used for a room of about 60m2.
Beware as some cheaper portable air conditioners are actually air coolers.

I spend most of the year waiting for the weather to improve and when it is summer I complain about the heat for the few days when we do get a proper summer. I find it unbearable, can’t sleep, sweat like a pig and generally am miserable. All I really want to do when it’s hot, is to laze by the pool, with an icy cold drink and a gentle sea breeze to refresh me :)

Oh well, that’s life! Can’t wait to get that air conditioner!
